Rear Exterior: The $20 million renovation of Weatherford Hall included the destruction of the defunct Weatherford Dining Center and the creation of the Lee & Connie Kearney Amphitheater for students. Weatherford residents have been found showing an outdoor night movie while field testing an HP projector product, laying in the grass studying or hosting a hall barbeque. Looking from the Bill and Joyce Collin Furman Grand Terrace, Weatherford Hall is bordered clockwise by an intramural field, Poling and Buxton Halls and, through the arches, the Memorial Union. Joyce Collin Furman, ’64, and Connie Kearney, ’65, are College of Education alumni. Lee Kearney, ’63, is an engineering alumnus.
